President Mary McAleese is to pay official visits to Romania and Norway in coming weeks, it emerged today.
The foreign travel was approved by the Government at today’s first Cabinet meeting since the August break.
Mrs McAleese is expected to be the guest of honour at business, cultural and ceremonial engagements in Romania from September 22nd-24th.
The four-day visit to Norway will take place from October 13th-16th.
