The shooting of an 18-year-old man in Limerick was not part of a feud, the Garda has confirmed. The incident took place at 7.55 p.m. on Monday in Thomondgate. The victim and a group of friends were sitting in the grounds of Barrack Lane Boat Club when they were shot at. Gardai believe the shots may have come from across the River Shannon. The young man suffered shoulder injuries. He was described as stable at Limerick Regional Hospital. Gardai said they did not suspect a feud was behind the shooting and appealed for witnesses.
