A 35-year-old man has been detained in hospital after he was stabbed in the lower abdomen in an assault in Belfast shortly after midnight yesterday. It is understood the victim, who also sustained head injuries, was attacked at the junction of Kitchener Street and Kitchener Drive, off the predominantly loyalist Donegall Road. Youths were seen running towards Donegall Avenue after the attack.
