A 21-year-old man from the Kosovo region of the Balkans is to appear in Dublin District Court this morning charged in connection with the stabbing to death of a security man, Mr Liam Martin.

He was questioned yesterday by Store Street detectives and it is understood he is to face a charge of wounding. A file in relation to the charge of murdering Mr Martin is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

The man, who is believed to have arrived in the Republic earlier this year, was arrested yesterday morning by detectives at a flat in Drumcondra.

There has been an extensive investigation into the murder of Mr Martin (22) who suffered 10 stab wounds. Three of Mr Martin's friends were also stabbed.

The incident occurred at the Abrakebabra fast-food bar in Upper O'Connell Street a week ago.

Five other men, also from the southern Balkans region, were questioned by detectives but released. Files in relation to them are also being sent to the DPP.
