A man is recovering in hospital today after being shot in Limerick city in the early hours of this morning.
The man, in his 20s, was found by gardaí lying on footpath with gunshot wounds in Delmege Park, Moyross at about 2.45 a.m.
He had been shot in the abdomen after an apparent row with a crowd of youths. He is in a serious but stable condition in Limerick Regional Hospital.
The scene of the shooting has been sealed off for forensic examination.
