A man has died and a woman is seriously injured following what gardaí have described as a domestic incident in Dublin early this morning.
The Lithuanian man (33) was taken to the Mater hospital with serious injuries after gardai were called to The Hamptons at Santry Cross, Dublin 9. He died a short time later.
It is understood he fell from the fifth storey of the apartment complex onto a parked car below. The vehicle remained parked outside the flat complex this afternoon with a shattered front windscreen.
His 30-year-old wife, who is also Lithuanian, is being treated at the Mater for injuries sustained prior to the man's fall.
A Garda source said it is believed to be a domestic incident.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
