A 34-year-old man has been arrested following the discovery of €200,000 worth of heroin at a house in Ballyfermot this evening.
Shortly after 5pm gardaí searched a house in the Ronanstown area of Dublin and over a kilo of the drug was seized.
The man is currently being held at Ballyfermot Garda station under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
A garda spokesman said the search took place as a result of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in West Dublin.
