More than two-thirds of Irish people are worried they will not have enough money to live comfortably next year, a survey on behalf of the Samaritans has suggested.
Almost half of those surveyed were worried about losing their jobs or having problems finding work next year, while a fifth were concerned they would lose their home, according to a poll of more than 1,000 people by YouGov.
Three of 2011’s top five worries were the recession, money and debt (64 per cent), housing (30 per cent) and job security (30 per cent).
