Irish author Deirdre Madden has been shortlisted for this year's Orange Prize for Fiction for her seventh novel, Molly Fox's Birthday.
The Orange Prize is an annual book award in the UK for fiction written by a woman.

The Invention of Everything Else, Marilynne Robinson for
Homeand Kamila Shamsie for
Burnt Shadows.
The winner of the award, exclusively for women writers, will be announced on June 3rd and will be presented with a 'Bessie' - a bronze statue - and a cheque for £30,000
