The number of people signing on to the Live Register rose slightly in November, according to the latest data from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
The seasonally adjusted Live Register total increased from 155,400 in October to 156,300 in November, an increase of 900. This compares with an increase of 100 in October.
In the year to November, there was an unadjusted decrease of 1,544, or 1 per cent. This compares with an unadjusted decrease of 1,138, or 0.8 per cent, in the year to October.
The figures represent standardised unemployment rate in November was 4.5 per cent, similar to the latest seasonally adjusted unemployment rate from the Quarterly National Household Survey.
