Gardai at Roxboro, Limerick, have appealed for witnesses to an incident last Thursday in which a 26-year-old ambulance medical technician was stabbed in the leg by a man who demanded drugs.
The ambulance man resisted the demand and the assailant struck with what the gardai described as a steak knife. The incident occurred at the Regional Hospital ambulance control centre. The victim was treated in the casualty department of the hospital.
