Traditional Christmas lights are to return to D·n Laoghaire this year after the local council offered to finance not just the lights but an advertising campaign, free street entertainment and a civic reception.
The council's gesture - an acknowledgement of the disruption caused to traders by long-term roadworks has been warmly welcomed by the Business Association.
