Maseru - Talks between Lesotho's ruling and opposition parties were suspended amidst confusion and anger yesterday after the South African Deputy President announced the groups had agreed to a new election.
But the opposition immediately dismissed Mr Thabo Mbeki's announcement, which came after a day-long meeting to resolve an impasse between government and opposition over the May 23rd poll.
