ROME – The leader of a massacre in 2007 of six people in Duisburg, Germany, which shed international light on the ’Ndrangheta organised crime syndicate, has been jailed for life.

Giovanni Strangio was one of eight people convicted yesterday in Calabria, southern Italy, for their roles in the violent mob feud that culminated in the Duisburg killings.

Six Italian men were shot dead on August 15th, 2007, as they left a birthday party at an Italian restaurant in the German city. – (AP)
