Northern Ireland's junior doctors are stepping up their protest against what they say are dangerously long working hours. The British Medical Association's NI junior doctors' committee is writing to all local MPs seeking support in their campaign against "exploitation".
Dr Maria O'Kane of the NIJDC said one in three of the doctors was working more than 72 hours each week. "This is not only unfair and unjust, it is downright dangerous," she said. "NHS patients deserve better."
