A Palestinian militant from Hamas was shot dead today by Israeli soldiers in the southern Gaza Strip, the army said.
Yassin al-Rah, a wanted Hamas militant, was killed by shots fired by soldiers operating near Khan Yunis, an army statement said.
"The soldiers killed him after he opened fire and threw grenades at them from a roof . . . an explosive device and a Kalashnikov assault rifle were found by his body," the statement added.
