RTE and the Irish Film Board (Bord Scannan na hEireann) are to co finance a series of one hour dramas with budgets of up to £250,000 each. They will be filmed mainly on location.

The series is intended to develop existing talent and to enable Irish producers to make indigenous films without funding from abroad. Scripts can be sent both to the board and to RTE's assistant director of television programmes by the end of May or September.
