Dancing teacher denies sex abuse
An Irish dancing teacher has told the High Court there is no truth to claims by one of his former champion pupils he had sexually abused her three decades ago.
The man is being sued for damages by the former pupil who claims she was sexually assaulted and orally raped by him on a number of occasions between 1982 and 1989.
The man was charged with 24 counts of indecent assault and has undergone two trials in which juries were unable to reach a verdict. After the second trial, the State decided not to pursue the matter and in April 2007 entered a nolle prosequi.
