IAN Botham was one of the greatest all-round cricketers and one would have expected that when he eventually did endorse a cricket game, it would be of the same top quality. Unfortunately this 5s not the case.

The cricket aside, the Full Motion Video (FMV) clips are as tabloid as you are likely to come across. On almost every occasion that a batsman takes a hit from the ball, a commentator butts in and gives us some smart comment like: "The last time I took a blow like that was when I paid my first alimony cheque" or "He took a risk and 1051, just like I did with my marriage

However, when one is down to the nitty-gritty of the game itself, there is some semblance of a decent game. Everything you would expect of a cricket game is here for the purist. You can set the field positions, choose your own squad and play anything from a one-day game to a full test match.
