The Tallaght Hospital board has held two meetings but has still to decide when the hospital will open, says chairwoman Rosemary French. Its main priorities are to appoint a chief executive, to develop policies on how to run the hospital and to build relationships with the communities it will serve. The Adelaide, the Meath and the National Children's Hospital, Harcourt Street, will close and their staffs will transfer to Tallaght when the hospital opens.
