Washington - The Mayor of New York, Mr Rudolph Giuliani, said yesterday the time was approaching to rule out any hope of finding new survivors of the September 11th air attacks on the World Trade Centre.

"I am told that there is very little hope, but they're waiting two weeks or a little more than that to make certain," he said.

Five people were rescued hours after two hijacked airliners hit the twin towers of the World Trade Centre, but since then no survivors have been found.
