The English FA confirmed today that no action is to be taken against Thierry Henry following the Arsenal striker's alleged use of an elbow on Charlton midfielder John Robinson.
Much controversy had surrounded the proposed disciplinary action as David Beckham was not under scrutiny from the FA for a similar offence on Lee Bowyer during Manchester United's defeat to Leeds at Elland Road last weekend.
The decision was no doubt aided by that controversy and by John Robinson's plea to the FA not to make matters worse than the were and to drop any action that was pending over the incident.
