It is expected that up to 1,000 new jobs for Clonmel will be announced by the Tánaiste, Ms Harney, this afternoon.
US medical device manufacturer Guidant is set to establish a base in the Tipperary town. It produces cardiovascular medical products for patients suffering from heart disease.
It would be the largest job creation announcement to date this year. Ms Harney is expected to make the announcement in Clonmel at 3.30 p.m.
