A man sentenced to four years imprisonment for his part in the sectarian murder of Robert Hamill in Portadown two years ago lost his appeal yesterday. Paul Rodney Hobson (21), from Deer Park, Portadown, was jailed last March for causing an affray but acquitted of murder. He has since been released. Mr Hamill (25) died in May 1997 after being attacked by a loyalist mob.
