Germany plans record debt issuance of €343 billion next year, the federal government's debt management office said today, as Berlin raises public spending to support a nascent economic recovery.

The 2010 issuance volume marks a rise from €329 billion this year, and comes as Germany plans tax relief and a 7-percent rise in federal government spending in 2010 to buoy the economy, which is recovering from its deepest post-war recession.

The debt office, German Finance Agency, said it planned to issue some €207 billion in capital market instruments and around €136 billion in money market instruments next year.
