A man is in a serious condition in hospital following an altercation in Sligo town in the early hours of this morning.
The man (18) was injured in an incident on Teeling Street at 2am.
He sustained head injuries and was taken to Sligo General Hospital for treatment.
However, he was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
A Garda spokesman said nobody had been arrested in connection with the incident.
