Shkira died in Sligo General Hospital on August 18th. She was brought in in a coma by her parents Rosana Farrell and Michael Scanlon to the accident and emergency department from their home in the town’s Cranmore estate three days earlier.

The parents told hospital staff they believed Shkira suffered head injuries when she fell to the floor from her Moses basket in their bedroom in their house in Devins Drive. Three people were taken in for questioning last week and later released.
