Gardaí in Westport, Co Mayo, have issued an appeal for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision in which an elderly man received serious injuries.
The man, in his 80s, was injured when his bicycle was in collision with a car at Castlebar Street near the bridge in Wesport at 8pm last night.
He was taken to Castlebar General Hospital where his condition is described as critical.
