A CLONES gaelscoil which has, pupils from the North and South is determined to stay open despite a third refusal of funding by the Department of Education.

Twenty six children will tarn up at Gaelscoil Eois on September 2nd, even though staff and parents have to raise funds themselves.

The school was one of five schools which had its application rejected by the Minister, Ms Breathnach on Wednesday.

Mr Briain MacUaid, the school chairman, said the Government would be "fought all the way" until funding was granted.
