Blois - France and Spain yesterday signed an accord to step up border co-operation in the wake of Basque separatist killings of local Spanish politicians.
"We share indignation over the assassination of local officials, which are attacks against the very principle of democracy and are unbearable to any democrat in France, Spain and Europe," the French Interior Minister, Mr Jean-Pierre Chevenement, said.
