FOUR people died in road accidents yesterday.
Two died and a number of others were injured in a road accident in west Belfast last night, the RUC said. It happened at about 10 p.m. on the Falls Road when a Suzuki car collided with a hackney cab. Police said the occupants of the Suzuki were killed, while the occupants of the hackney were taken to hospital.
A 41-year-old car driver died late last night when his car left the Roscommon road two miles from Longford town and collided with a fence.
A father of four, Mr Patrick O'Brien (54), of Ballyart, Brittas, Co Limerick, died when his car was in collision with another vehicle yesterday morning outside Limerick on the main Tipperary road.
