Gardaí have arrested four people following a cash-in-transit robbery in Jobstown, Dublin, today.
One man, armed with what is believed to have been a firearm, threatened a male employee outside Jobstown Post Office at about 12pm and took an amount of cash. No shots were fired, and the employee was not injured.
In a follow-up operation, gardaí recovered a vehicle and searched a house at Cloonmore Green, Tallaght, where they found a firearm and large quantity of cash.
Three men and a woman - all their mid- to late-20s - were arrested and are being held at Tallaght and Rathfarnham Garda stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act.
