A Sligo woman who fractured her wrist after tripping over a stone on the footpath was awarded £4,500 at the High Court in Sligo yesterday. Ms Siobhan Gethins from Garavogue Villa, Sligo, told the court she tripped over a piece of concrete, which had been dislodged from a wall, while on her way to a shop with her young son.
Liability was apportioned at 75 per cent against Sligo Corporation and 25 per cent against the woman.
