Five people were killed as a result of car crashes over the weekend.
Early on Sunday morning, a 30-year-old Cork woman became the State's fifth victim of the weekend when she was involved in a single-vehicle collision at Skeheenarinky, Cahir, Co Tipperary.
She has been named this morning as Suzannne Sheehan, of Upper Cork St, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork.
Hours earlier, in Kerry, a young man and woman died in a crash in Kerry.
Trevor Chute (23), from Listowel, and Eileen Keane (18), from Ballylongford, were travelling in a car when it collided with a minibus at Ardoughter, Ballyduff, at about 9.45pm on Saturday.
The mini-bus was not carrying any passengers but the driver was taken to Tralee General Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.
On Friday night, a man (20) from Athboy, Co Meath, was killed in a crash at Proudstown, Navan after his car hit a grass verge at about 11.30pm.
Earlier on Friday night, a woman (28) was killed in a crash at Mount Seskin Road, Brittas, Co Dublin. Gardaí have not released her name yet.
She died when two cars collided at about 8pm. Five other people were taken to Tallaght hospital and St James's Hospital following the crash.
The deaths bring the number of people killed on the state's road this year to 134, compared to 114 for the same period last year.
