A fishing vessel off the Irish coast was evacuated this morning after a fire broke out on board. The incident happened three miles south of Mine Head, Co Waterford. Two fishermen were on the Irish vessel when flares were spotted by another fishing boat, the Tachgwell, about 10 minutes after midnight. It took the pair to land, escorted by a lifeboat.
