Family law courts report due

A second report on the operation of the country's family law courts will be published today.

A second report on the operation of the country's family law courts will be published today.

The document will be presented to the media in a briefing and then to Minister for Justice Brian Lenihan at his first official visit to the courts and the Courts Service since his appointment to office.

Family Law Matterswas carried out by former Irish Timescorrespondent Dr Carol Coulter.

The work, for which she was engaged by the Courts Service last October, involves a pilot project to provide family law reports, judgments, trends and other statistical information to the judiciary, legal practitioners and the general public.
