A man who escaped from custody in Dublin eight days ago has been rearrested.

A man who escaped from custody in Dublin eight days ago has been rearrested.

The man, who was serving an eight year sentence in Wheatfield prison, escaped from Beaumont Hospital by climbing out a window.

The man gave press interviews where he claimed his life was in danger.

He was serving an eight-year sentence for dangerous driving causing death when he escaped.

The man (26) jumped out of a second floor toilet window around at 10.15 p.m. after receiving treatment for a head wound.
