Full emergency services were called out at Dublin Airport yesterday when an engine blew out in an aircraft as it taxied for take-off.
None of the 200 passengers on board was injured in the incident.
The Airbus A320, chartered by the UK-based Air 2000 company, was on route from Dublin to Reus, the secondary airport of Barcelona in Spain.
As flight ANN 931 began rolling for take-off in the early afternoon, the engine blew out. The pilot aborted take-off and returned to the terminal where the passengers disembarked.
