NUI rewards students for their efforts

Today's a big day at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Kildare Street, Dublin, where, this afternoon, the NUI awards for 2001 will be presented to more than 80 graduates of NUI Cork, Galway, Dublin, Maynooth and of the Royal College of Surgeons by the chancellor of the university, Dr Garret FitzGerald. They include two post-doctoral fellowships worth £40,000 each, eight travelling studentships of £27,000 and five £9,000 bursaries.
