The Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland Lecture

The Society of Antiquaries of Ireland and the Society of Antiquaries of London is holding a lecture in the Thomas Davis Theatre, TCD on Thursday, November 22nd at 7.30pm. The lecture will be given by Prof Clive Gamble, Department of Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London and is entitled "The First Humans: 'a very remote period indeed'"

Developement Education Programmes for Primary School Teachers and Principals

Link Community Development is currently offering two programmes - for primary school teachers and principals. The programme is for experienced teachers and principals and is centred around a five-week placement in a school in Africa in the summer of 2008.

Public Seminar on EU Opportunities for the West

GMIT Castlebar is hosting an information seminar - EU Project Opportunities for the West - on Thursday, November 22nd from 10am to 12.30pm.

Speakers from the BMW Assembly, Moy Valley Resources and Mayo Co Council will share practical experiences from past projects.

The event is open to all members of the public and should be of particular interest to community groups and people studying or working in the fields of rural development, community and youth development, business studies and tourism.
