VALUING DIVERSITY in learning is the title of a one-day seminar for people involved in all sectors of education, north and south of the Border.
It will look at "the importance of respecting diversity among learners of all ages and of providing a process of learning which offers various dimensions and ways of approach rather than one which excludes all other." This will be explored within both the Irish and the European contexts.
Speakers include prominent educationalists from universities and colleges in Dublin, Limerick, Coleraine, Belfast and London.
Organised by the Irish School of Ecumenics, the seminar will take place on Thursday, November 7th. It costs £50, including lunch.
Further information and programme brochures can be obtained from IBC, Bea House, Milltown Park, Dublin 6 (tel: (01) 60 1144 mornings only).
