EasyJet's founder and chairman is to formally step down and to leave the board on November 26th 2002.
Mr Stelios Haji-Ioannou says he is confident the airline's full-year results will meet market forecasts.
Mr Haji-Ioannou said he has decided to leave the company earlier "in order to achieve a better delineation of accountability for the following financial year and, rather selfishly, in order to free up my time for my newer ventures".
He also said: "I have no present intention to sell any easyJet shares in the near future.
"As a result of concentrating my efforts on my newer businesses over the last year, I am pleased to announce that easyInternetCafe has turned the corner and I am looking forward to helping it grow into a substantial business in the next two to three years," Mr Haji-Ioannou said.
Mr Haji-Ioannou says EasyCar is on track for flotation at the end of 2004 and that he is working on a new start-up called easyCinema.
In April, Stelios Haji-Ioannou announced his intention to step down from the board of easyJet at the next AGM in early 2003.
