Gardaí have seized drugs worth more than a quarter of a million euro.
As part of an ongoing operation, detectives raided a house in Cummer, Tuam, Co Galway at around 5pm.
During the search cannabis plants with a potential street value of approximately €280,000 were recovered, a Garda spokesman said.
The drugs have been sent for forensic analysis.
A man in his early 30s was arrested. He is being detained at Galway Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
