London - Health Secretary Frank Dobson last night faced a Labour selection battle with Ken Livingstone after he surprised Whitehall by entering the race to be Mayor of London.
Mr Dobson's parliamentary private secretary, Ann Keen, confirmed the Holborn and St Pancras MP would throw his hat into the ring after seeking backing from the Labour Party and his constituency.
