FRANCE:Police mugshots of the paparazzi, taken in the wake of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, were shown at her inquest yesterday

Faces and full-length pictures of more than a dozen photographers collected as part of the investigation by the French authorities were released following the High Court hearing.

Seven paparazzi, including a motorcyclist, were arrested at the scene of the crash in the Alma tunnel, the jury heard.

They were Serge Arnal, Nikola Arsov, Jacques Langevin, Christian Martinez, Romuald Rat, Laslo Veres and Rat's driver, Stephane Darmon. Darmon has his eyes half-closed in his line-up picture, while Langevin looks unshaven with ruffled hair.

There were 17 mugshots shown at the High Court. Here are some of the details the jury heard about those pictured:

Serge Arnal: Took pictures in the tunnel at the scene of the crash. He is said to have tried to call the emergency services at the scene.

Nikola Arsov: Followed the decoy Mercedes from the Ritz on a motorcycle to Dodi's flat.

Jacques Langevin: Took pictures of the scene. He also took a famous photograph of the Mercedes leaving the Ritz.

Christian Martinez: In a car with Arnal. Took pictures of the scene of the crash.

Romuald Rat: Took pictures of the scene. Was photographed at the open door of the wrecked Mercedes car.

Stephane Darmon: Motorcyclist for Romuald Rat.

Laslo Veres: Took pictures of the scene of the crash.
