Mr Sean Hill (51), of Cashel, Co Tipperary, who has died, was a former chairman of Cashel Urban District Council and former chairman of Cashel Writers' Group. A retired teacher, he was a columnist with the Tipperary Star and Nationalist newspaper and also contributed to other publications.
A guard of honour was provided at his funeral by the INTO, Cashel UDC and South Tipperary public representatives, and Cashel Brass Band led the funeral cortege. Chief mourners were his wife Angela, and five children.
