Building materials group CRH said today it has bought Cemex's concrete operations in Florida and Arizona for about €170 million ($250 million).
CRH, which was in talks to buy Cemex assets in the United States and Europe, added it has ended talks for a wider deal involving additional assets.
The US Department of Justice had asked Cemex to divest some of its operations as a result of its takeover of Australian building materials supplier Rinker Group.
