A seven-month-old baby girl died of suspected meningitis at Limerick Regional Hospital yesterday morning.
According to a Mid Western Health Board spokesman, the Co Clare baby died shortly after being admitted at 10.15 a.m. yesterday. It is understood that the baby contracted the meningococcal septicaemia strain of meningitis.
