Co Clare's waste will begin to be transferred to Limerick today following the closure of the Doora landfill site on Saturday on foot of a High Court order secured by residents in December 1998. Clare's new landfill site at Inagh will not be operational until the summer of 2002. Until then Limerick and Tipperary North Riding county councils have agreed to take Clare's waste.
