A High Court action by a boy alleging negligence in the circumstances of his birth at Wexford General Hospital has been adjourned to Tuesday. Gary Kavanagh (8), suffers cerebral palsy and other difficulties while his twin Ian, born shortly before him on January 9th 1991, is now healthy.

Gary, through his mother Ms Patricia Kavanagh, of Curracloe, Co Wexford, has sued the South Eastern Health Board and an obstetrician, Dr Harry Murphy, for damages for alleged negligence. The claims are denied.

Medical evidence continued yesterday and Mr Justice O'Donovan adjourned the hearing to Tuesday. It is expected to last several weeks.
